PLANNED IMPACT

Bequests – A bequest allows you to designate a specific dollar amount or percentage of your estate in your Will. After other obligations are met, the remainder will be directed to Empower Me Center. We recommend consulting with a qualified attorney or advisor to ensure Empower Me Center is included in your Will.

Beneficiary Designations – You can name Empower Me Center as the primary or secondary beneficiary of assets that pass  outside of probate, such as insurance policies, investment accounts, 401(k) or other retirement plans, and Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). These assets transfer seamlessly to the designated beneficiary.

Retirement Assets – Retirement accounts such as IRAs, 401(k)s, 403(b)s, pensions, and other tax-deferred plans may be taxed when passed on to heirs. However, as a nonprofit, Empower Me Center is not subject to these taxes, allowing your retirement assets to go further in supporting our mission.

Non-Cash Assets – You may choose to donate non-cash assets like privately held business interests or real estate (e.g., homes, vacation properties, farmland, or commercial property). The gift will be valued based on the property’s fair market value, which requires an independent appraisal. Please contact us in advance to discuss your intentions for donating non-cash assets.

We would be delighted to work with you to explore the planned giving options that best align with your financial goals while also helping to support the future of Empower Me Center. Our team is here to guide you through the process and ensure that your gift has the greatest possible impact. Whether you prefer to make a donation anonymously or would like to explore special naming rights opportunities, we offer flexible options to honor your contribution in a way that is meaningful to you. Together, we can create a lasting legacy that strengthens our mission and benefits the community for years to come.
